What’s new in the library?

Come on in and explore what we have new for you to checkout at the library.

Wonderbook is a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids will press play to read along with their favorite books and then switch to learning mode for literacy learning and fun. We have picture book, easy reader and young reader chapter books available as a Wonderbook.

We have added to our Library of Things collection. Look for a display in the kids area near the magazines. We have STEAM activities, cake pans, exercise equipment, a stud finder, kites and more. New this month, Create at Home checkout craft kits. Check out the display or the binder of all Library of Things materials at the circulation desk.

Food for Fines – September 2022

To celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month, the Kewaskum Public Library is offering fine forgiveness throughout the month of September in collaboration with Kewaskum Community Food Pantry.

Bring in a non-perishable unexpired food item during the month of September and we will take $1 off your overdue fines for Kewaskum Public Library owned items up to $10 per account. If you have items out, they will need to be returned before fines can be forgiven.

Items that are expired, damaged, or perishable will not be accepted.

Food for Fines only works on overdue fines for Kewaskum Public Library owned items. Lost book charges, damaged item fees, or other fees associated with your library account are not eligible.

All donated food will be donated to the Kewaskum Community Food Pantry.

Most needed items are listed below. Do not need canned vegetables except for carrots.

Canned fruit

Canned soups

Pancake mix and syrup

Mac & cheese

Peanut butter and jelly

Stop in the library for a complete list of the Pantry’s food needs.

Program runs September 1 – 30.
